Michael Roux is Chairman, Roux International and Senior Adviser to an associated group of companies, including Dragon Tree Capital. He is the Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Rwanda to Australia and the Founder of the ADC Forum (Australian Davos Connection). Michael is also a member of the Presidential Advisory Council (Rwanda), Asialink Advisory Council, and the World Economic Forum Alumni.
Michael was responsible for managing the Victorian Government’s corporatization and privatization program ($37 Billion value of sales) in the early to mid 1990’s. This included the restructure, corporatization, renewal of contracts and privatization of various entities in the delivery of electricity, gas, horse racing and gambling, water, transport and ports.
Previously, Michael served as Chariman of KPMG Asian Markets, Citigroup, VicSuper Pty Ltd, MyInternet Ltd, the Victorian Superannuation Board, among many others. He has also acted as Director of Deutsche Asset Management, Deutsche Bank Australia, Great Barrier Reef Research Foundation, Urban Land Authority, Bell Shakespeare Company, Heide Museum of Modern Art, St. James Ethics Centre, Victoria Funds Management Corporation, Office of State Owned Enterprises, State Library, and the Ministry of Employment and Training. He is an Honorary Fellow at Faculty of Business & Economics (Monash University) and a member of the India Advisory Committee, Committee Barclays Global Investment Company, and Opera Australia. Michael has also served as an advisor for Russell Company, CEO at the Office of Trade and Investment, the Secretary of the Department of Treasury, Honorary Treasurer for Camberwell Grammer School, and Honorary Trustee at CEDA.
