Climate change has become one of the most politically polarized issues in American public life, yet durable climate progress ultimately requires broad, cross-partisan support. What would it take to move U.S. climate policy beyond polarization and toward lasting, stable decarbonization?
Join Laur Hesse Fisher, VP of Impact and Learning at DEPLOY/US, in conversation with Dan Esty, Hillhouse Professor of Environmental Law and Policy at Yale. Drawing on research, policy experience, and lessons from recent climate policy battles, the discussion will explore why bipartisan climate coalitions matter, where new opportunities for cross-party alignment may emerge, and how institutions, advocates, and policymakers can help build a more durable foundation for U.S. climate action.
This conversation will be especially relevant for students interested in climate policy, political strategy, and the future of American environmental leadership.
