Debuting September 21-23, 2016, the Forum is a three-day program exploring sustainability as an overarching framework for life in the 21st century, focusing specifically on the megatrends distinguishing sustainability from its 20th century precursors. The Forum is directed by Daniel C. Esty, the Hillhouse Professor of Environmental Law and Policy at Yale University and Director of the Yale Center for Environmental Law & Policy. YCELP is partnering with the Council of Western State Foresters to research climate-smart forestry policies across the American West and Pacific Island nations. Lisa Dale is heading the research and with a team of graduate students, the Center will produce a climate policy synthesis report and a series of case studies of climate change adaptation and mitigation across the West and the Pacific.
