Lawrence (Larry) Rodman

Larry Rodman is a Principal at Aligned Intermediary (AI), a new investment advisory group whose mission is to accelerate the flow of institutional capital into direct investments in climate infrastructure, i.e. clean energy, water infrastructure, and waste-to-value. AI represents a group of long term investor members (TIAA, UC Regents, New Zealand Superfund, OP Trust, Church of England, Wellcome Trust, Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation), for whom it sources, vets and structures project transactions for their direct investment.  Larry also teaches a course at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies (FES) entitled Private Investment and the Environment: Legal Foundations and Tools.

Larry earned his Master of Environmental Management degree at FES in Spring 2016. Prior to returning to school, he practiced law in New York City for 40 years, primarily in corporate finance and general corporate advisory work. He served for almost 20 years as outside General Counsel to the School of Visual Arts, one of the preeminent arts colleges in the U.S., and now is a member of its Board of Directors. Larry also is Chair of the Board of Directors of InsideClimate News, a Pulitzer Prize winning online publication devoted to climate and energy issues.

Larry received his undergraduate degree in public policy from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and his law degree from Harvard Law School.
