Jay Emerson
John W. Emerson (Jay) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Statistics at Yale University. He teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses at Yale, and often includes timely real-world problems and examples in his lectures. His recent collaborative research includes studies of microarray breast cancer data, clustering of countries by environmental performance, and graphical methods of data analysis. He has contributed several computational statistics packages to the R project, including packages for handling massive matrices and for the Bayesian analysis of change point problems.
