Angel Hsu Launches DecisionMakr App at COP 18 in Doha
Angel Hsu, project manager of the Center's Environmental Performance Index, and a doctoral candidate at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, launched a new mobile application this week at the UN climate change conference in Doha, Qatar.
The app, called DecisionMakr, allows Twitter users to give real-time feedback to negotiators on the quality of their proposals and statements made during conferences, such as Doha, town halls, or any meeting that includes civic engagement.
DecisionMakr displays a leaderboard of the rankings of all the speakers and allows users to rate speakers from one to five stars.
Hsu's app won an AT&T-sponsored "Hackathon" at a Social Good Summit in New York City this September, and a team of engineers and developers at Parvieda Solutions in New York City then made the app for her.
