Event description: 

Mahesh Ramanujam (President & CEO of the U.S. Green Building Council and Green Business Certification Inc.) and Roger Platt (former President of USGBC and SVP, Strategic Planning for GBCI) will discuss their organizations’ ongoing market transformation initiatives. Those efforts include development and administration of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (or LEED) green building certification program. LEED is the most widely used and trusted green building program in the world and impacts buildings, communities and cities in 164 countries. The LEED green building program and a growing suite of global metrics/rating system tools are helping USGBC and GBCI to leverage industry and government investments to help accomplish many of the United Nations’ most ambitious Sustainable Development Goals.
