Join the Yale Center for Business and the Environment for an engaging discussion on sustainable finance with Mahesh Jayakumar to discuss ESG integration in fixed income assets and green bonds.

Mahesh Jayakumar, CFA, FRM is a Vice President and Senior Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Investment Strategist at State Street Global Advisors (SSGA). In his current role, he is responsible for supporting all aspects of sustainable and responsible investing on behalf of the company and its clients including business and product development. Prior to his current role, he was a Senior Fixed Income Portfolio Manager in the Global Fixed Income Passive team, where he managed portfolios in sectors such as US Government and Credit, Global Sovereigns, Green Bonds and other client directed mandates.

Since joining State Street in 2008, he has been involved with several ESG and sustainability related activities within the company including membership in the Corporate Responsibility Working Group as well as Environmental Sustainability Committee. He also held roles in State Street Global Markets where he spent time in the Investor Behavior Research Team (IBRT) working on the development of quantitative equity market indicators.

Mahesh holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, MS in Computer Science from Boston University and BS in Information Systems from Purdue University. He has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and Boston Security Analysts Society. He has also earned the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation and is a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
